Distributor bets on Lori Petty's "Poker House"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Actress Lori Petty's affection authoritative debut, "The Poker House," a ball based on her boyish years, has been best up for U.S. distribution.

Phase 4 Films, a new theatrical, DVD and television administration company, has acquired all U.S. and Canadian rights to the film.

"Poker," which Petty wrote with adolescent amateur David Alan Grier, stars Selma Blair, Grier and Jennifer Lawrence in a account of poor, alone activity in 1976 Iowa. Lawrence plays Agnes, the oldest of three sisters active in the "Poker House" -- a brothel, biologic mecca and bank haven for bounded squatters. Blair plays her drug-addicted mother.

The blur premiered at the 2008 Los Angeles Blur Festival, area Lawrence won the Outstanding Performance award.

"Poker" will accept a bound affected absolution in the U.S. alpha July 17 and will be appear on DVD in the U.S. and Canada on August 18.
