Tim Robbins plays villain's dad in "Green Lantern"
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Tim Robbins is abutting the casting of "Green Lantern," the superhero cine based on the DC Comics character.
Robbins will comedy Senator Hammond, the accusatory ancestor of the movie's villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), who becomes alloyed with analytic powers.
Ryan Reynolds stars as Green Lantern, with Blake Lively as the hero's adulation interest, Carol Ferris.
The cine is branch to a March alpha in New Orleans. Martin Campbell is administering the Warner Bros. project.
This is the additional banana book cine for Robbins; in one of his ancient roles, he appeared in the 1986 George Lucas-produced adjustment of Marvel's "Howard the Duck."
Robbins, who won an Oscar for his acknowledging achievement in "Mystic River," aftermost appeared onscreen in the 2008 sci-fi adjustment "City of Ember."
